Joshua Mantz is a keynote speaker, storyteller, and change leader. He’s driven counter-insurgency operations in Baghdad, influenced change across the behavioral health field in the United States, and served as an HR Business Partner with Tesla Motors. He currently serves as a Treatment Placement Specialist with Acadia Healthcare, the largest behavioral health company in the world, and resides in San Jose, California.
Josh utilizes his life experiences to advance the concept of moral injury. He was severely wounded in combat in 2007, lives with an incurable immune disorder, and has repeatedly excelled in a life filled with emotional extremes. He credits his success to the people that surround him, and believes in leveraging the power of human connection to overcome trauma.
Josh is a West Point Graduate, recipient of the Purple Heart and Bronze Star with Valor, and served for 10 years as an Infantry Officer in the Army. He has made appearances on CNN, Fox News, BBC, and recently delivered a TEDx Talk in the Dominican Republic.
Josh’s upcoming book titled, “The Beauty of a Darker Soul: Overcoming Trauma through the Power of Human Connection” is due to be published in early 2017.
